All or Nothing?
So let me be clear from the start – it is NOT an all or nothing proposition. What isn’t, you ask? Life, love, happiness, health, wealth, or business. Living in that space will yield minimal results in everything you do.
I’ve heard that mindset from many on a variety of ideas… I cheated on my diet, so I’ll start again tomorrow. I bought something I shouldn’t have, so might as well get the matching piece. I’ll never find my soulmate, so why even bother dating. Or in business, I can’t keep up with the marketing, so I’m not going to bother. Or I had 10 “no’s” to sales calls, so there is no point.
I’m all about living life to the fullest – playing all in and living full out. But that does NOT mean life is an all or nothing proposition, and especially right now. Many are feeling overwhelmed, confused and anxious – and it’s become easier to use an excuse, give up or totally walk away. But staying in the game is where it’s at ladies!
Take the small steps continuously in the areas most important to you.
Health – too much stress to “diet”? Try a small step by drinking more water (and maybe less wine?).
Wealth – feeling the pinch in the pocket? What’s one thing you can forego for today?
Love lost it’s luster? What’s one small thing you can do to light it back up with your significant other? Or be open to that new chat?
Business – pick one thing and do it well. Send that email newsletter once a month instead of weekly, make that “check-in” call with clients if the sales calls seem overwhelming, and post on social media using a service (there are some free ones) to stay off the scroll.
Give yourself permission to do the best that you can, without the excuses of not doing anything at all.
