Be Fearless In Your Style
Spring is in the air and for some it’s a time of renewal. It got me thinking about a quote I saw recently, “Renewal requires opening yourself up to new ways of thinking and feeling.” Deborah Day
To be fearless with your style you need to take a leap of faith and try new things.
What would that look like for you? How could you be fearless with your style? What would you take a leap of faith and try…
• Printed pants?
• Stripes?
• White pants?
• Animal print?
• A belt?
• Bold jewelry?
• Wearing a color other than black?
What’s on your list of I could never wear that? For me it was stripes, prints, white pants and bold colors. You see, as a plus size gal, I was told by friends, family, and society that stripes make you look larger than you are, prints are not flattering, white pants would accentuate my large thighs, and bold colors were a “no no” because they make you stand out. It wasn’t until I hit 40 that I decided to stop listening to the naysayers and be fearless with my style. Now, I wear it all! I wear what I love and feel confident in.
Let today be your time of renewal. Be fearless with your style and add something with a twist. Take a leap of faith and look for something new and different. If you’re not sure about stripes and/or prints then think about starting with a piece that has a very small print or a tight and skinny stripe. If you’re unsure about animal print then try starting with something simple like a scarf or a small accessory. If you wear all black and want to add color, start by adding a top in a color you love or a neutral like cream or white. You might want to try adding one piece of bold jewelry to your collection and/or look for a belt in a classic style.
Wear the stripes, the bold color, the white pants and the animal print! Wear it all and have confidence that you are more than enough. Be confident and your beauty will shine through.
Be fearless with your style and remember there is no age limit to looking and feeling good. Style is not a size.
