Give Yourself Grace
Do you have days that go to “heck and a hand basket?”
Do you have weeks where you feel as though your life is going off the rails?
I am here to tell you I feel your pain. I completely understand where you are coming from and I am here to remind you to give yourself grace.
We plan and plan and then…life happens or as I like to say God laughs. Sometimes the easiest way to cope is to control what you can. Simple tasks like getting up, getting dressed, pulling yourself together and getting through it one hour at a time or one day at a time. Give yourself grace.
I know it may sound too easy or too simple but finding something you feel confident and beautiful in can start your day off on the right foot and can help you check off those items on the to do list.
Having “go to” items in your closet can make it simple to pull yourself together and it really can be as easy as one, two, three. Often times we wait to buy clothes until we are a size “x” or weigh “y” pounds. I am here to remind you to give yourself grace and tell you that it’s okay to buy clothes that fit the body you have now.
I usually suggest my clients start with the five essentials or basics like a couple of tops, a couple of bottoms, and one or two layering pieces (that fit the body you have now). For example, a pair of jeans or pants, a button down shirt, and a blazer. If you are not a jeans or pants gal then try a skirt, a t-shirt or blouse, and a cardigan. Having pieces that fit the body you have now can make it easier to walk out the door feeling confident and beautiful even if the rest of your day does not going as planned.
When you feel as if the world is out of whack, give yourself grace, and make time to find clothes that fit the body you have now. You are amazing, worthy, and extraordinary. If you need help putting together outfits, finding clothes that fit the body you have now, or are not sure where or how to start. Reach out.
