My Word for 2023? LOVE!

It's that time of year... to finalize my word/theme for the new year. In recent years, it has included surrender, faith and trust, but this year I find myself in a different frame of mind… One that strives to give and receive all things (good and challenging) through the eyes of love. Maybe it's because my daughters are both getting married this year, maybe it's because I'm dating a wonderful man - but truthfully, it has to do with the love I feel from the Universe and my Higher Power ~ and how can I reflect that love to everyone in every situation.

So, what does that look like for me, or you? Here are a few examples.

  • Love in business. Doing the work I love and serving as the YES I CAN coach is my business love. When we love what we do and come from a place of service (yes, that still means making money!), we reflect a positive loving spirit that our staff, clients and followers will experience.

  • Love in health. For me, it starts with loving my body with all it's faults and flaws. Whether we are healthy or struggling - in physical, mental or emotional health, practicing a loving response to our bodies and overall health will help heal and strengthen us from the inside out. (This does not mean that professional help isn't needed. On the contrary, asking for and seeking help can be essential.)

  • Love in money. I get this sounds questionable, but I didn't say love "of" money. If you know me, you know I'm not a greedy woman. I have a healthy respect for money - in making it, saving it and giving it. Money is energy and a mindset. When we hold onto it tightly in scarcity rather than allowing it in abundance, money can become a negative control force, opposite of love.

  • Love in relationships. This one may seem obvious, but stop for a minute and think about all the relationships in your life. There are some who are easy to love. But what about the ones who challenge you? I believe that reflecting love, in the way we speak, act and live in general, has the potential to soften another’s heart and allow for love (and forgiveness) to be discovered in their life.

  • Love of self. To accept myself as I am, forgiving myself for my past mistakes, doing my best in future, and embracing all that God created me to be.

Bottom line for me: Reflect love everywhere in everything, or as was recently shared with me, “leak love everywhere”.
