The PEACE Pause
The PEACE Pause ~ I've recently been in a cycle of crazy busy and it feels as if I am running and can't catch up. While siting on the freeway for 2.5 hours (yes, you read that right) heading across town to a retreat day, I became agitated and frustrated. In a flash, I lost my peace. I was listening to MercyMe, put on a Joyce Meyers podcast, tried to flip the switch that it was quiet time, but my peace was literally out the window. Too many things, too many directions and not following God's guidance.
When I got to the retreat location, she sent us outside into the park (a beautiful quiet place of respite within the LA borders) for 20 minutes of silence. As I began the time, I realized I was just plain angry and I needed to pause for peace and reconnect to the Spirit. When I did, the answers to my frustrations and anger flooded through - and my peace was restored. Truly a moment!
Romans 8:6 - Now the mind of the flesh is death but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.
My reminder that and this morning is that I need to bring my worldly chaos and decisions to God, in a place of peace. The peace pause. Other distractions are just that - distractions.
Strategic YESes and abundant NOs are this process as well. If you don't have peace on your YES, it's either a wait - not yet, or a no. But you cannot rush the process. Sometimes you simply need to pause until your peace returns for a confident decision.
What/who is stealing your peace?
Are you making decisions without God being in the center?
Are you inviting the peace of the Spirit into your business?
What can you do today to reconnect to the Source of peace?
